Idk, Kimetsu no Yaiba(an anime which is currently being made, on S2 right now) is the anime that reminded me how much I loved FMAB and made me want to rewatch it(not rereading it, once was good enough)...and they actually do things quite similarly. They do kill off even lovable characters when the situation is built at a too high level of difficulty.

I've been holding off this episode because it was Hughs death episode. Right in the feels. But damn! Hughes is so fucking smart. He figured out a lot in what? A few episodes and a few weeks in their time what took the rest of the cast episodes/months to even come close.
